First Ride, Slow Ride

For the city of Portland, Oregon, BOLT Mobility was required to create a “First Slow Ride” in the app to get users comfortable with the e-scooter’s throttle. After scanning the QR code to unlock the scooter, users are shown a warning screen that displays the “First Ride, Slow Ride” prompt. The alert is continually shown, all the way into the ride screen. Once your slow rides are done, the final lock screen shows a banner that you have unlocked the full throttle capabilities.
